Belief & Teaching

What We Believe & TeachThe Following Doctrines 1. There is one true God and that three persons, The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, are united in the eternal Godhead.2. The Holy Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and are the only rule for faith and practice.3. The deity and humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His death on behalf of sinners; His bodily resurrection; His ascension into Heaven; His present intercession for His people; and His coming again in glory.4. The sinfulness of all men both in nature and practice and that salvation is only by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.5. The justification of repentant sinners by faith alone in the atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.6. The necessary and gracious work of the Holy Spirit in the regeneration, conversion and sanctification of sinners.7. The resurrection of the body; the judgement of the world; by the Lord Jesus Christ; the eternal blessedness of the righteous; and the eternal punishment of the unrepentant.8. Baptism must be by immersion and is only for those who give a clear profession of saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.9. The Lord’s Table should be open to all who confess Christ as their Lord and Saviour and whose conduct is consistent with that confession. The Responsibilities of all Church MembersAll members belong to the Lord Jesus Christ and must be encouraged to function as members of the Body of Christ within Bethel.
